CHRISTOPHER HEWITT

POPPY ANDREWS

Numerous concerts with the BBC Concert Orchestra, community outreach programme with 'Pimlico Opera' and most recently Sleeping Beauty at Buxton Opera House.

DOMINIC ANDERSEN  

TRAINING: Arts Educational School, London  
BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre 

CREDITS: 
Dominic has an extensive background in Musical Theatre and Television, recently playing Rocky in  The Rocky Horror Show  (Playhouse Theatre/UK Tour) as well as the Rum Tum Tugger in CATS. He has also made television apperances on Humans (Channel 4) as well as Saturday Night Takeway (ITV) and The Keith Lemon American biopic.
 

ACTING

Acting workshops that focus on style, conventions, staging, language, performance techniques, practitioners, monologues and auditioning. Workshops will be delivered by trained Drama Teachers, Drama and Movement therapists and professional actors. Workshops also explore PSHE and SRE through Forum Theatre techniques and Mantle of the Expert as well as supporting set works and examination pieces. Freelance directors also available to support productions.

Michelle is the founder and Artistic Director of Theatre for Life

TEACHING: BTEC Performing Arts and A Level Drama at   Hammersmith and West London College. Course leader for BTEC Performing Arts at Queen Mary's College and Richard Taunton Sixth Form College. GCSE Drama teacher at Thornden School. International Drama teacher placement in Sydney, Australia. Youth Theatre director for student productions at The Point Theatre, Berry Theatre and The Hub Theatre. Michelle has worked with National Theatre Learning, devising an original piece of theatre with students, based on Warhorse by Michael Morpurgo. Michelle has written scripts for professional distribution for TreePress based in New York, USA. 




MATTHEW OSBOURN

TRAINING: A professional actor/director/teacher/writer from London. He has worked & studied in the UK, the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany & Australia.

TEACHING: 
After finishing his studies in 1993 Matthew created his own theatre company, a company that;Performed both recognised & new plays throughout the UK & Europe.Devised and performed T.I.E. (Theatre in Education) for local councils in London & Europe.

From 2003 – 2017 Matthew worked & lived in Melbourne, Australia. Melbourne is Australia's most artistic city. In Melbourne Matthew got to work with; The Arts Centre – creating theatre & performing for schools throughout Melbourne & state Victoria.The Song Room – creating & directing artistic programmes for regions Australia wide that have little or no access to the arts. Stage School Australia – Australia's largest school for the arts.
Matthew is a passionate supporter of the arts, in all its forms. He believes that the arts is one of the most important tools to share the human experience, and bring people together to explore & share that human experience. 

DANCE

Dance workshops that focus on Contemporary Dance, Jazz, Ballet, Musical Theatre, Choreography, Contact Improvisation, Mime, set works for GCSE & A Level Dance, examination pieces with trained Dance teachers and professional performers. Freelance choreographers also available to support dance productions and Youth Dance companies.

DANCE WORKSHOP LEADERS

LEO MEREDITH 

TRAINING:  Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance 
BA (Hons) Contemporary Dance  Leo has professional training in classical ballet (RAD and ISTD), Tap, Modern, Jazz, Contemporary Dance, Contact Improvisation practices and Mime. 

CREDITS:  Leo has been in works by Lizzie Kew-Ross, Marina Collard, Zoi Dimitriou, Sara Green, Ali Curtis-Jones. Leo has worked with Kerry Biggin and James Leece in the Matthew Bourne's New Adventures Company in 2016 for the Laban Conservatoire's Seminal Works show. Leo has had the privilege of continuing to perform Bourne's work in the Highland Fling as one of the Sylphs and was understudy of the lead role of James.  
Choreography for curtain raisers for Rosie Kay Dance Company in 2015 and New Adventures in 2017.  

Leo has worked with choreographers Ruth Osborne, Lina Limosani and Matt Cornell whilst training with QL2 Dance in Canberra, Australia in 2012.

TEACHING: Lisa studied contemporary dance at university and currently teaches contemporary, jazz and musical theatre genres. Head of Dance at Townley Grammar School for Girls. Dance teacher, Brookfield School and Head of Performing Arts at Richard Taunton Sixth Form College. 
Lisa has been credited by Rock Challenge judging panels for her choreographic flair, visual enhancement and strong conceptual ideas. 
Lisa will be competing in the Southern Premier Finals in 2018, competing against the top 10 entries in the South of England. 

EMMA HUGHES 

TRAINING: Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts

HAYLEY  WARMAN- JOHNSTON 

TRAINING:  I.D.T.A Associate and Licentiate Degree in delivery of Street Dance. City & Guilds Level 3 in coaching and delivery of Dance, Fully qualified Street Fit, Zumba, Fitsteps and Bokwa Dance Fitness instructor 

TEACHING: Principle and Director of Contrast Dance Company, founder and Creative Director of Bustagroove Street Dance school. 18 years experience in dance delivery / teaching and 29 years experience in dance training and performance. Founder and Choreographer of Unit dance crew. 

CLAIRE BUCKS 

TRAINING: Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts.
Fitness Instructor (Level 2), exercise to music, Zumba qualification

TEACHING: Creative Director of Contrast Dance Company, Rock Challenge  Choreographer for Mountbatten senior school for 6 years, 3 years dance co-ordinator at Mountbatten School Sports Partnership for Test Valley Schools. 7 years experience teaching CPD Dance in primary and secondary education. 

CAMS DENTON 

TRAINING: The University of Winchester
BA (Hons) in Theatre Production (Stage and Arts Management)
Cams has been working and volunteering in the industry for around 5 years working with a range of different companies varying from amateur theatre to professional. Cams has worked with companies and venues such as Theatre Royal in Winchester, Music Theatre South,  Mayflower Musical Youth Theatre, Thornden Hall and The Stage Door Southampton. Working in various different stage management roles throughout that time has enabled her to establish herself fully within all aspects of stage management. Cams will be supporting Theatre for Life with all the stage management aspects of their work as well as providing workshops on stage management for schools & colleges. Cams will be delivering workshops on the different roles & responsibilities of stage management, creating prompt copies, working within different staging configurations, theatre etiquette and how to run a show. Cams is also available for stage management placements within schools, colleges and youth theatre companies.  


I have always been very impressed by the quality of Michelle Smith's (Artistic Director) work with students. She taught my daughter Daisy, who has now gone on to be a professional singer. The preparation she, and numerous other students she has taught was second to none.
